Gordonton Country Village Tour

Your Gordonton Country Village tour starts with one of our luxury vehicles picking you up from your central Hamilton accommodation and driving you to your first visit of the tour.

Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by one of the Cornerstone staff and offered a tea or coffee or cold drink. You will learn about the Alpacas, their care, natural history and fleece use. Get up close and personal with these gorgeous animals – Hug them and feed them and see what amazing animals they are.

After being up close to the Alpacas, visit their farm shop which features an extensive selection of alpaca products, including their own exclusive designer alpaca range – Alpaca Bejeweled – hand made by the artist, Sonja Blom, on their farm. Their own 100% alpaca yarn, NZ alpaca blankets and alpaca fur toys, as well as hand-crafted items by local artisans, and more, A shopper’s dream.

After the Alpaca Stud visit, we will then take you to the Gordonton Village.

The Farm Shop – Has a remarkable range of fresh produce at great prices, and it’s all grown in this region – Open Wednesday to Sunday – 10 am – 5 pm

The Maderin Tree – The Gallery is representing 100% NZ made artworks from local and national artists around the country. Open Tuesday – Friday 9.30am – 4.30pm – Saturday 10 am – 2 pm

Grandmothers Garden Patchwork & Quilting – Browse and shop at Grandmother’s Garden for the world recognised brands. Open Monday – Saturday 9 am – 5 pm

Firepot Café – Is a favourite spot for travellers and lazy long weekend lunches. They pride themselves on using only the freshest local ingredients, and legendary Allpress espresso. Open seven days a week, 7 am – 4 pm.
